McDonalds Seeds is a family-owned business dating back to 1902, when Mr CRC McDonald established McDonald Brothers (Pty) Ltd, general dealers and seed merchants, in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Today his great-grandson, Bruce McDonald, is the company’s CEO and the company has continued to operate from Pietermaritzburg, with a network of agents across the country.

The McDonald team is a tight-knit group of people who have generally been with the company for many years, ensuring continuity and a deep-rooted knowledge and expertise about what we do. Our longstanding relationship with our people is mirrored in our long-term relationships with our customers.
